Ben Affleck says he doesn’t like big-ticket movies anymore

While the same fans who vocally demanded Zack Snyder Justice League on social media also want Warner Bros. still doing “The Batfleck Movie”, it doesn’t look like they have the support of Ben Affleck himself. Although the star returns to the cap in the next Flash movie, looks like this will be the last hurray. And a way to chain the role with a different actor. As most fans know, the upcoming The Batman would have been his star vehicle at one point, but the actor has walked away. And in a recent interview with The playlistAffleck says he’s done with all the franchise movies. For now anyway.

“I don’t want to do IP movies, where you have that kind of built-in audience,” he says. “It’s something that interested me and loved, and I just don’t like it anymore. I like the others who do. And if you want to do it, you should like it. And I like something different. So I want to do it.

Since playing Batman, Affleck has earned some of the best reviews of his career, in films like The way back and The last duel. And while he’s won over many skeptics as the Batman in Zack Snyder’s films, the acting award nominations for films that don’t involve heavy latex costumes must be satisfactory.

Still, Affleck said he was already done and came back for Flash. He even said he had a great time doing it. We may never see him again in a superhero movie, but just like in Kevin Smith’s View Askew movies, brief visits may not seem unthinkable.
