A lot can happen in 48 hours. You can even make a short film, thanks to this opportunity from Champaign Movie Makers.
In a recent announcement, the organizers shared the following:
“A 48-hour film festival is an exercise in efficiency, endurance and improvised creativity. Teams have 48 precise hours to produce a short film, from concept to completion.
At the kick-off meeting at Lincoln Square Mall, teams will receive three items they need to build their story. These things will need to be incorporated into your story in a meaningful way. Don’t come with a script already written; your storytelling process begins at kickoff. You will need at least one team member present at this meeting.
All submissions should be sent to [email protected] 48 hours after kick-off. Completed entries will be played and judged at a screening on June 9 (100 years to the day after the first sound on the film recording). Stay tuned to the Facebook event page or more information.”
Register your team before 12 p.m. on June 2 here.
