Kenny Loggins, ‘King of the Movie Soundtrack’, arrives on FireKeepers

Fans of award-winning musician Kenny Loggins will have the chance to “tear this town apart” and “come loose” with the artist in Battle Creek.

The man dubbed the “King of the Movie Soundtrack” is expected to perform some of his iconic songs when he visits the FireKeepers Casino Hotel on April 21.

Loggins, 74, has sold over 25 million albums since debuting as one half of the duo Loggins and Messina, gaining greater fame as a solo artist with a series of hits that include “Footloose,” ” I’m Alright “and” Dangerous Zone. ” Loggins co-wrote “What a Fool Believes” with Michael McDonald, which won the 1980 Grammy Award for Song of the Year. He won his second Grammy the following year for “This is It”.

Kenny connects

Loggins regularly supports youth programs like Make a Wish, Toys for Tots, Teddy Bear Cancer Foundation, Notes for Notes and Little Kids Rock. In 2016, he received Little Kids Rock’s Humanitarian of the Year award for his tremendous commitment to children’s causes.

Tickets go on sale January 22 at 10 a.m. and start at $ 59. They can be purchased at or in person at the FireKeepers Casino Hotel ticket office.

This year, the 2,100-seat FireKeepers event center is also slated to feature Daughtry (February 18); The Golden Boys by Dick Fox (March 25) and medium Tyler Henry (November 19).
