Rogue One: A Star Wars Story was the franchise’s first standalone live-action feature film. But the Skywalker family (at least until the last moment) wasn’t the film’s only notable absence. John Williams didn’t score either. That honor went to composer Michael Giacchino. Now you can celebrate its soundtrack with a special new four-disc set from Mondo. It comes with more than just great artwork and beloved galactic tunes. This collection includes an entire hour of unreleased music for A thug.
Mondo has announced its new star wars vinyl collection. the Rogue One: A Star Wars Story – Original Motion Picture Soundtrack Expanded Edition 4XLP (a mouthful!) has all the Giacchino music heard in the movie. It also includes songs by Williams. But the big score for fans who can’t get enough of the music from the galaxy far, far is 60 minutes of unreleased tracks written for A thug.
“This project has been a whirlwind of almost five weeks of writing, recording and mixing, but I couldn’t have been more enthusiastic about the adventure and I will always look back on those days with fond memories. “, Giacchino said in a statement. “As with all film music I compose, my goal was to serve the story and emotions of the film, but I think it was my 10-year-old brain that had the most fun composing for this new exciting set of star wars characters and the worlds they inhabit.
Each album is pressed on 180 gram black vinyl. And there are brand new liner notes from Giacchino too. Music is not the only reason A thug fans will want to get their hands on a set, though.
