Ryan Reynolds is ready to enjoy a well-deserved break.

The Golden Globe nominee, 44, announced he was taking ‘a little sabbatical’ from films on Saturday as he posted behind-the-scenes photos from his upcoming holiday Apple TV + Fiery, in which he stars alongside Will Ferrell and Octavia Spencer.

“It’s a wrap for me on Fiery. I’m not sure I would have been ready to say yes to such a difficult movie three years ago, “he wrote in the caption.” Sing, dance and play in the sandbox with Will Ferrell made many dreams come true. And this is my second movie with the great @octaviaspencer … “

“The perfect time for a little sabbatical from filmmaking,” he continued. “I’m going to miss every second of working with this group of amazingly gifted creators and artists. Nowadays, kindness counts as much as talent. I’ve been fortunate enough to work with people who have both.”

Reynolds’ wife Blake Lively continued to lag behind in the comments section. “Michael Caine did it first,” the 34-year-old actress wrote, referring to the 88-year-old screen legend’s recent comment that her new film Bestsellers would be his “last part”.

Spencer, 51, also praised his collaboration with Reynolds in another comment. “You are an amazing actor / singer and producer. I had a blast working with you, Will, and this amazing cast and crew! Enjoy your free time,” she wrote.

Reynolds plays Ebenezer Scrooge in Fiery, a modern musical re-imagination by Charles Dickens A Christmas Carol. He also shared behind-the-scenes shenanigans with Ferrell, 54, who plays the Ghost of the Christmas Present, releasing a TikTok of the two harmonizing with Mika’s 2007 single “Grace Kelly” in September.

Canadian actor’s sabbatical follows a successful year that included a $ 28.4 million opening weekend in August for his blockbuster free guy. Disney has already given a sequel to the film.
