Filming of the sequel The nun 2 has been ongoing since this week, but Conspiracy The Univers film crew is already looking ahead. New Line revisits the Warrens’ records for The Conjuring 4.
THR reports that The Conjuring 2 and The conjuration: the devil made me do it scribe David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick was typed to write the new entry to the Conjuring series.
Also returning to produce are James Wan and Saffron Stonewho have been behind every entry in the franchise so far.
Conspiracy the films are based on the real-life case files of paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren, whose film counterparts are played by Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga respectively. The two are set to return for this next installment, although no deal is currently in place.
Parcel details and which folder The Conjuring 4 will follow remains secret for the moment.
The news comes just over a year after the last entry, The devil made me do itwhich opened at number one at the box office in 2021 and pushed the franchise to over $2 billion worldwide.

The film also features Ruairi O’Connor, Sarah Catherine Hookand Julien Hilliard. Its director, Michael Chavesis currently in France to work on The nun 2.
Johnson-McGoldrick has a long history with Warner Bros., dating back to writing the screenplay for the 2009 horror film Orphan. He later wrote Red Riding Hood and Wrath of the Titans for the workshop. The screenwriter wrote more recently Aquaman and provided the story for Orphan: first murder.
